At Thursday night's "We, Robot" robotaxi event, Elon Musk showcased a $30,000 Cybercab he expects to start production before 2027. He also said he expects "fully autonomous unsupervised full-self driving in California and Texas next year. But he did not offer many specifics on the Cybercab or data pointing to rapid shift to self-driving. There were also little discussion of a ride-hailing service. There had been some speculation that Tesla would seek to launch a ride-hailing service, initially with human drivers.
