Rigetti Gets Massive New Quantum Orders

Less than 1 min read

Rigetti Computing RGTI has landed $5.7 million in fresh orders for two of its Novera quantum systems, giving the startup another chance to prove its tech can find real-world buyers.

The machines, each powered by a 9-qubit Ankaa-class processor, are slated for delivery in the first half of 2026. One will be used by an Asian tech manufacturer for in-house research, while the other heads to a California physics and AI startup focused on error correction a critical step for making quantum hardware useful at scale.

Each setup comes with Rigetti's own control systems and a dilution refrigerator, all built at Fab-1, the company's custom chip factory. It's another sign that Rigetti's not just building for the lab, but trying to carve out a place in a still-nascent quantum market.
