Costco up after September sales rise

** Shares of grocery shop retailer Costco COST up 2.6% at $938.61 after co reported a rise in September net sales after markets closed on Wednesday

** Net sales increased 8% to $26.58 billion compared with $24.62 billion a year ago for 5-week period ended on October 5

** September digitally enabled comparable sales, earlier known as e-commerce commercial sales, up 26.1% vs 22.9% rise a year ago

** Including session's moves, COST up about 3% YTD
