Bulgaria to remain ‘standalone’ market, still on consultation for upgrade in MSCI indexes

MSCI said on Tuesday it will continue to consult on Bulgaria's reclassification as a Frontier Market in its index suites as part of its index classification review, and the country will remain a Standalone.

The index provider said it would continue to monitor market accessibility on both South Korea and Bangladesh markets, while it is seeking feedback on whether to bypass a rule that keeps Greece from an upgrade to Developed Market.
