ECB's Vujcic expects ECB will easily settle on small rate cut next week, Politico reports

The European Central Bank is likely to opt for gradual policy easing when it meets next week rather than accelerate rate cuts, as some predict, Croatian central bank chief Boris Vujcic told Politico in an interview published on Wednesday.

“When the road is slippery, you take small steps and this is what we are doing,” he said. "I don’t think that it will be such a difficult decision in December."

Markets have fully priced in a 25-basis-point move for Dec 12 and see a less than 10% chance of a 50-basis=point cut.
