Stellantis slides after Moody's changes ratings outlook to negative

RefinitivLess than 1 min read

** Shares in Stellantis STLAM fall around 4% after credit rating agency Moody's changed its ratings outlook to negative, though maintained its current ratings

** Moody's change "reflects a weak operating performance combined with the uncertainty regarding the timing and magnitude of the company's profitability recovery and its return to positive free cash flow generation," Banca Akros says

** It notes Moody's negative outlook stems from weak H1 2025 performance, impacted by weak demand and economic/trade uncertainty

** However, the brokerage keeps its "buy" rating and PT of 10.50 euros unchanged as it expects Stellantis to deliver a solid market share recovery in North America, which it calls "pivotal to recover profitability"

** Including Tuesday's fall, the stock is down 33% YTD
