In Frankfurt, the DAX Index gained 188 points or 0.79 percent on Thursday.
Gains were led by Porsche Automobil (5.67%), Daimler Truck Holding AG (5.64%) and Mercedes-Benz AG (4.42%).
Biggest losers were BASF (-3.26%), Bayer (-2.09%) and Scout24 (-1.93%).
