CAC 40 Closes Week at Record High

The CAC 40 rose by 0.26% to close at 8,182 on Friday, maintaining its upward trend to set a new record high despite cautious market sentiment influenced by the '4 Witches' session and new US economic data.

Among individual stocks, Stellantis led gains with a 2.66% increase, followed by BNP Paribas (2.04%) and Alstom (1.95%).

Conversely, STMicroelectronics experienced a decline of 3.06%, along with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (-1.4%) and Arcelormittal (-1.02%).

On the economic front, final estimates revealed that the French inflation rate eased slightly to 3% in February, slightly above preliminary estimates of 2.9%, from 3.1% in the previous month.

For the week, the CAC 40 surged by 2.26%.
