Lithuania Current Account Surplus at 11-Month High

Lithuania’s current account surplus widened significantly to EUR 522.15 million in August 2025 from EUR 364.49 million in the same month last year.
This marked the highest current account surplus since September 2024, driven largely by an increase in the services account surplus to EUR 918.92 million from EUR 711.83 million a year earlier.
At the same time, the goods account deficit narrowed to EUR 246.26 million from EUR 297.26 million, while the secondary income rose to EUR 140.27 million, shifting from a deficit of EUR 0.19 million to a surplus.
Meanwhile, the primary income deficit widened notably to EUR 290.78 million from EUR 49.89 million.
