K not so OK in the short term?45 min chart shows double top at $6.99. Given the wider markets, I'd bet a gram of gold this will retest the low $4s. Miners are at the beginning of the gold process. At this point $1500 gold looks better. Problem with miners is governments go for the gold first on the calamity so miners is not the safest place to have cash parked at this point. Good trade possibly but indexes and oil might be a better sector to trade short term?
K- Gold will be in FAVOUR!K- Gold will be in FAVOUR! --- Should rise nicely as it climbs in this channel... upward as a safe haven.

Can KGC Break Out Of This Channel?Multiple attempts over the last few weeks but KGC hasn't been able to firmly break up and out of this channel. I get issues with fear versus the market. But when you have a sector performing and a company executing, it doesn't make sense why this couldn't pop. Maybe we need another big global headline? lol IDK

KGC Long after the bounceKCG bounced off the 1.414 support of the fib retracement. The MACD bottomed out and turned bullish making this a great setup to enter long.
Holding profits until $5.15 right beneath the 0.786 level on the Fib Extension and then scaling out 75% of my position for a 20% gain. Leaving the other 25% to run near the $5.50 resistance
interesting trendKinross, with good news on mining, solid business partly in Russia, could accelerate this interesting trend with rising Gold price.
I'm there for max profit until reversal of trend.
My conviction is to a secular bull market beginning in precious metals. KINROSS PRODUCES SILVER ALSO and some other metals.
I know this is big call, and we might find many severe temporary reversals, but I study this sector since many many years now.
I think time as come to explosion of some thruth devastating this self indulged unsustainable fake market.
Gold and silver are not mere commodities, but alternative to vicious monetary strategy.
Many good mining companies are in a similar pattern in Big and Mid-tier so lot of money to be made for philosophical investors seeking some thruth in this impossible world, begging to die for too much abuse and injustice.
Is it time to buy Kinross (K) ?Kinross (K) is now back in bullish territory with the recent 10/200 EMA Cross over.
For Long Term Trend followers, this is great news.
And for some may prompt a buy signal.
For more aggressive traders, they may have entered down at the 20 EMA Zone,
I did and got kicked out on volatility a few weeks later. I will take the 16% or so.
I never got another entry area as it whip-sawed hard during Christmas break.
I trade with a 4% TSL due to my position sizing rules.
For me, its time to find another good entry zone.
For Buy and Hold Investors, Kinross could also be a strong contender for your portfolio.

short term gains long term lossesi drew this back a while ago and it seems to be at the point where i would love to see what someone thinks. i have a feeling with the price of gold, trump and currency taking a bit of a change recently we may see short gains, but ultimately there is a chance we may go back down to around 3 or lower.
i would love to hear what you think
Kinross Gold Corp: Profitable Gold Miner On SaleI keep a watchlist of precious metals and materials stocks that I watch as a barometer of the value of their underlying commodities as well as the market's sentiment on putting capital into safe harbor investments in times of market headwinds. Well, I've written quite a bit about this with my other articles about Kirkland Lake and Franco Nevada Corp, so see those for additional details. The technicals are nearly identical for these four precious metals companies, and KGC is profitable, doing well, beating earnings expectations, and in the process of making a solid reversal from the previous high growth tech stocks and consumer goods and industrials that the prior months were having.
