The Dispensing Pharmacy segment manages insurance dispensing pharmacies; offers home medical care support; and markets pharmaceutical products. The Manufacturing and Sales of Pharmaceuticals and Others segment deals with the manufacture and sale of prescription pharmaceuticals centered on generic drugs. The SMO segment provides clinical trial facilities support. The Information Equipment Sales segment plans and sells information processing equipment. The company was founded on September 17, 1948 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
