The fund provides exposure to 10 large-cap companies that are expected to lead innovation across the sub-themes of AI & Big Data, Semiconductors, Health Care & Biotechnology, and Next Generation Mobility, Battery &Renewable Energy. The fund aims to hold the top 10 thematic stocks that have dominant business positions and consistent growth within their industry. Stocks are screened based on fundamental requirements that include market cap, liquidity, return on capital, and sales growth. Only pure-play companies that derive at least 50% of revenues from at least one sub-theme are considered. The two largest companies for each sub-theme are first selected, with the remainder consequently chosen by market cap. The fund sets limits each sub-theme by 40% and stocks from developed markets are capped by 70%. The portfolio is weighted equally. The index is rebalanced and reconstituted semi-annually in March and September.
