The fund-of-fund invests all its assets in the Franklin ClearBridge Sustainable Global Infrastructure Income Fund, which invests in stocks of sustainable issuers in the infrastructure business. The fund selects income-paying stocks of any size located anywhere in the world. No more than 20% will be invested in emerging markets, and the fund could also invest in China-A securities directly through Stock Connect. Using a proprietary framework, the fund assesses ESG factors to analyze stocks when performing fundamental security valuations. Companies highly involved in fossil fuels and controversial weapons are screened out, as well as those determined to have insufficient infrastructure exposure and quality. As an actively managed fund, the portfolio managers can analyze market and financial data to make buy, sell, and hold decisions at their discretion.
