Introducing alerts on rectangle drawings

Nov 24

You’ve long been able to draw rectangles on your chart to mark zones of interest — support, resistance, consolidation areas. Now you can turn those zones into alerts: you’ll get notified the moment price interacts with them. It’s a simple way to make your visual analysis work for you: draw a zone once, and let the system track when the market reacts to it.

Now, when you create a rectangle drawing on your chart, you can enable an alert condition tied to it. For example:

  • Price enters the rectangle zone (e.g., consolidation broke)
  • Price exits the rectangle (e.g., breakout or breakdown occurred)
  • Price is inside or outside the rectangle’s boundaries

This gives you a powerful visual-and-alert combo: draw your zone, attach an alert, and wait for the market move you defined.

Setting an alert is pretty straightforward.

  1. Draw a rectangle using the drawing toolbar on the left.
  2. In the rectangle’s context menu choose Add alert on drawing.
  3. Select the trigger — e.g., entering or exiting a zone.
  4. Set your trigger, expiration and notification preferences
  5. Click Create. From now on, the alert will monitor the rectangle you defined.

We hope this update will make your analysis even more efficient. Keep sharing your feedback with us — it helps us find inspiration for new features and improve the platform.
