Price gain only tells part of the story — dividends complete it. With this latest release, Portfolios now capture those income flows, giving you a fuller view of your results. This is especially valuable for dividend-focused investors, and extra helpful for anyone holding income-generating assets. It builds on “Upcoming dividends”, which already shows what’s ahead, by letting you track the payments you’ve actually received.
Let’s dive into what this update brings to your analysis.
Manual entry, CSV import, and smart suggestions
Add dividends manually, upload them via CSV, or let our smart suggestions help. The system will check if any past payments are missing and suggest new transactions when a holding in your portfolio has just paid out.
Portfolio calculations
All logged dividends are included in gain calculations — both in absolute terms and as percentages. This means your returns now reflect the full picture: price changes plus income.
Holdings tab
A new column Total dividend shows all dividends received for each holding.
Transactions tab
You can now see a full list of all dividend transactions, right alongside your trade history. Simply open the Dividends tab above the table.
Analysis tab
Explore a new Dividends analysis section with a monthly cashflow chart covering the lifetime of your portfolio.
Plus, the Holdings performance section now reflects total dividend payments for each asset.
Keep in mind that this first version supports cash dividends only. Some markets may not yet be fully covered.
Also note, you can only enter the gross dividend amount — any taxes or fees should be calculated separately.
Start logging your dividends today and get the full picture of your portfolio returns. And keep sending us your feedback — it drives all our updates and helps us make the platform better.
