Just when you though European defence stocks were getting ready to roll over and head south we had an incident where Russian drones invaded Polish airspace last week. You can take a look at how it impacted BAe as its share price rallied to recent highs. This behaviour was also copied across many other European defence stocks (
AIR went to new highs).
BAe finds itself tickling the soft underbelly of 2000 pence level. Will it stall here like last time, or will we have another 'incident' that gives it a shove to new highs? With Starmer and Macron languishing at home, and in need of distraction from domestic strife I think the odds on them 'doing a Galtieri' have shortened considerably.
