Crypto10 Topping Window (Aug 15–Sep 13)
One-liner
USD weakness persisted, but crypto printed a self-driven top between Aug 15–Sep 13, then shifted into a step-down drift. This post records signals only—no positions.
Three key signals (in order of appearance)
1. Breadth – Crypto10/20/30 first dulled on D1, then rolled over on H4; repeated pushes failed to make decisive new highs.
2. Rotation at the tail end – Flow rotated BTC → ETH → Alt, then all legs dulled together (speed and angle fading). Alt = altcoins other than BTC; here: higher-beta names such as SOL, LINK, DOGE, etc.
3. Structure – On H4, rebounds were sold back; the MA fan “failed to lift,” marking the start of a step-down path.
Timeline (for review)
1. 06/20 — “Before the Storm”: USD soft, crypto nearing a bubble segment.
2. 08/01 — “Curtain Call”: market flipped into high-volatility “meat-grinder”; not suitable to hold.
3. 08/15–09/13 — Crypto10 formed the top zone.
4. 08/28 — “Assembly Call”: first heads-up for BTC short setup (signal alert only).

Current baseline & repair triggers
* Baseline: Treat the path as step-down/laddered decline; most bounces = liquidity grabs.
* To invalidate the top view, require BOTH:
1. Crypto10 D1 re-acceleration (body, not just wicks).
2. Breadth repair with Crypto20/30 making confirmed new highs.
* Until both print, the top call stands.
Signal log only. Not financial advice.
---————
Breadth
Not just one coin, but how many coins are moving together.
Strong breadth: many coins making new highs at the same time.
Weak breadth: only a few coins rising, most cannot keep up.
Dulling
When price moves lose speed and angle.
Still going in the same direction, but no longer sharp or powerful.
Often shows up near the end of a trend or at a top.
D1 / H4
Common timeframe abbreviations:
D1 = Daily chart (each candle = 1 day).
H4 = 4-hour chart (each candle = 4 hours).
Different timeframes show whether weakness starts first on the daily or the 4-hour level.
