Broadcom AVGO jumped about 5% on Wednesday and 3% on early Thursday after unveiling its Brocade X8 Directors and Brocade G820 128G Fibre Channel platforms, designed to support enterprise AI workloads.

The new Gen 8 portfolio includes quantum-resistant encryption and embedded SAN AI for automated infrastructure management. The Brocade X8 Directors can handle up to 384 ports at 128G, while the G820 switch offers 56 128G SFP+ ports in a compact 1U form factor, targeting high-performance data centers.

Several partners, including Dell Technologies DELL, HPE HPE, IBM IBM, Lenovo (LNVGY), and NetApp (NTAP), issued supporting statements. Broadcom also launched the Thor Ultra 800G AI Ethernet NIC to boost connectivity for large AI workloads.

The company reported good top-line revenue growth and good margins, which made the company earn its presence in AI infrastructure.

Price targets went up at Jefferies (JEF), Mizuho (MFG) and Evercore (EVR), as trade agreements were announced with major cloud and artificial intelligence companies such as Google and OpenAI.
