Holt Exponential Moving Average indicator script.
This indicator was originally developed by Charles C. Holt (International Journal of Forecasting 20(1):5-10, March 2004: Forecasting seasonals and trends by exponentially weighted moving averages).
XPloRR MA-Buy ATR-MA-Trailing-Stop Strategy
Long term MA Trailing Stop strategy to beat Buy&Hold strategy
None of the strategies that I tested can beat the long term Buy&Hold strategy. That's the reason why I wrote this strategy.
Purpose: beat Buy&Hold strategy with around 10 trades. 100% capitalize sold trade into new trade.
My buy strategy is triggered by the...
This script lets you plot a simple or exponential moving average from a specific time frame that you can select. For example, if you always want the Daily 50MA on your chart, regardless of what resolution your chart is on, this will do it. It's also color coded to show if it's rising or falling.
Since I noticed there was no Script with actually 3 EMA together (all the ones I found said it was Exponential, but actually was Simple), i created this one.
The lengths, 17 72 305, are based on the phi cube theory, introduced by Bo Williams. The slow length (305) indicate a likely strong support/resistance and the region between the fast and medium lengths (17,...
The alpha parameter of this moving average decreases with every new bar on the chart, so it will become more slowly and slowly in course of time. Can act like additional support/resistance line but works in an acceptable way on weekly and monthly timeframes only.
6 simple and 5 exponential Moving Averages in one indicator.
I made this because its not always easy to tell what average the price might be bouncing off from when you only have a couple at a time.
For some reason, the defaults aren't working.
To fix this, just open the configuration for the indicator after the first time that you load it.
FRAMA: blue line, SC = 252, FC = 40, length = 252
EMA: orange line, length = 50
FRAMA seems to be the evolution of the current and much-used EMA. The basic strategy is simple: long if the price crosses up the line, short or exit if vice versa.
The main difference between EMA and FRAMA is that the first one seems to lag much more than the first one, as...
EXPERIMENTAL: channel lines based on linear regression and exponential curves (only 3 steps tho) that can be customized to adjust the advance/decay start/middle/end of line plus the lenght of the steps, 2nd step is 4x longer then the 1st.
The same as my previous Exponential Bollinger Bands script, but now you can set a desired offset for the indicator. I have published this as a new script that way those who prefer the old script can continue to use it without seeing any changes.
Single Exponential Smoothing (ema) does not excel in following the data when there is a trend. This situation can be improved by the introduction of a second equation with a second constant gamma.
The gamma constant cant be lower than 0 and cant be greater than 1, higher values of gamma create less lag while preserving smoothness.Higher values of length must be...
