Market Structure & Liquidity: CHoCHs+Nested Pivots+FVGs+Sweeps//Purpose:
This indicator combines several tools to help traders track and interpret price action/market structure; It can be divided into 4 parts;
1. CHoCHs, 2. Nested Pivot highs & lows, 3. Grade sweeps, 4. FVGs.
This gives the trader a toolkit for determining market structure and shifts in market structure to help determine a bull or bear bias, whether it be short-term, med-term or long-term.
This indicator also helps traders in determining liquidity targets: wether they be voids/gaps (FVGS) or old highs/lows+ typical sweep distances.
Finally, the incorporation of HTF CHoCH levels printing on your LTF chart helps keep the bigger picture in mind and tells traders at a glance if they're above of below Custom HTF CHoCH up or CHoCH down (these HTF CHoCHs can be anything from Hourly up to Monthly).
//Nomenclature:
CHoCH = Change of Character
STH/STL = short-term high or low
MTH/MTL = medium-term high or low
LTH/LTL = long-term high or low
FVG = Fair value gap
CE = consequent encroachement (the midline of a FVG)
~~~ The Four components of this indicator ~~~
1. CHoCHs:
•Best demonstrated in the below charts. This was a method taught to me by @Icecold_crypto. Once a 3 bar fractal pivot gets broken, we count backwards the consecutive higher lows or lower highs, then identify the CHoCH as the opposite end of the candle which ended the consecutive backwards count. This CHoCH (UP or DOWN) then becomes a level to watch, if price passes through it in earnest a trader would consider shifting their bias as market structure is deemed to have shifted.
•HTF CHoCHs: Option to print Higher time frame chochs (default on) of user input HTF. This prints only the last UP choch and only the last DOWN choch from the input HTF. Solid line by default so as to distinguish from local/chart-time CHoCHs. Can be any Higher timeframe you like.
•Show on table: toggle on show table(above/below) option to show in table cells (top right): is price above the latest HTF UP choch, or is price below HTF DOWN choch (or is it sat between the two, in a state of 'uncertainty').
•Most recent CHoCHs which have not been met by price will extend 10 bars into the future.
• USER INPUTS: overall setting: SHOW CHOCHS | Set bars lookback number to limit historical Chochs. Set Live CHoCHs number to control the number of active recent chochs unmet by price. Toggle shrink chochs once hit to declutter chart and minimize old chochs to their origin bars. Set Multi-timeframe color override : to make Color choices auto-set to your preference color for each of 1m, 5m, 15m, H, 4H, D, W, M (where up and down are same color, but 'up' icon for up chochs and down icon for down chochs remain printing as normal)
2. Nested Pivot Highs & Lows; aka 'Pivot Highs & Lows (ST/MT/LT)'
•Based on a seperate, longer lookback/lookforward pivot calculation. Identifies Pivot highs and lows with a 'spikeyness' filter (filtering out weak/rounded/unimpressive Pivot highs/lows)
•by 'nested' I mean that the pivot highs are graded based on whether a pivot high sits between two lower pivot highs or vice versa.
--for example: STH = normal pivot. MTH is pivot high with a lower STH on either side. LTH is a pivot high with a lower MTH on either side. Same applies to pivot lows (STL/MTL/LTL)
•This is a useful way to measure the significance of a high or low. Both in terms of how much it might be typically swept by (see later) and what it would imply for HTF bias were we to break through it in earnest (more than just a sweep).
• USER INPUTS: overall setting: show pivot highs & lows | Bars lookback (historical pivots to show) | Pivots: lookback/lookforward length (determines the scale of your pivot highs/lows) | toggle on/off Apply 'Spikeyness' filter (filters out smooth/unimpressive pivot highs/lows). Set Spikeyness index (determines the strength of this filter if turned on) | Individually toggle on each of STH, MTH, LTH, STL, MTL, LTL along with their label text type , and size . Toggle on/off line for each of these Pivot highs/lows. | Set label spacer (atr multiples above / below) | set line style and line width
3. Grade Sweeps:
•These are directly related to the nested pivots described above. Most assets will have a typical sweep distance. I've added some of my expected sweeps for various assets in the indicator tooltips.
--i.e. Eur/Usd 10-20-30 pips is a typical 'grade' sweep. S&P HKEX:5 - HKEX:10 is a typical grade sweep.
•Each of the ST/MT/LT pivot highs and lows have optional user defined grade sweep boxes which paint above until filled (or user option for historical filled boxes to remain).
•Numbers entered into sweep input boxes are auto converted into appropriate units (i.e. pips for FX, $ or 'handles' for indices, $ for Crypto. Very low $ units can be input for low unit value crypto altcoins.
• USER INPUTS: overall setting: Show sweep boxes | individually select colors of each of STH, MTH, LTH, STL, MTL, LTL sweep boxes. | Set Grade sweep ($/pips) number for each of ST, MT, LT. This auto converts between pips and $ (i.e. FX vs Indices/Crypto). Can be a float as small or large as you like ($0.000001 to HKEX:1000 ). | Set box text position (horizontal & vertical) and size , and color . | Set Box width (bars) (for non extended/ non-auto-terminating at price boxes). | toggle on/off Extend boxes/lines right . | Toggle on/off Shrink Grade sweeps on fill (they will disappear in realtime when filled/passed through)
4. FVGs:
•Fair Value gaps. Represent 'naked' candle bodies where the wicks to either side do not meet, forming a 'gap' of sorts which has a tendency to fill, or at least to fill to midline (CE).
•These are ICT concepts. 'UP' FVGS are known as BISIs (Buyside imbalance, sellside inefficiency); 'DOWN' FVGs are known as SIBIs (Sellside imbalance, buyside inefficiency).
• USER INPUTS: overall setting: show FVGs | Bars lookback (history). | Choose to display: 'UP' FVGs (BISI) and/or 'DOWN FVGs (SIBI) . Choose to display the midline: CE , the color and the line style . Choose threshold: use CE (as opposed to Full Fill) |toggle on/off Shrink FVG on fill (CE hit or Full fill) (declutter chart/see backtesting history)
////••Alerts (general notes & cautionary notes)::
•Alerts are optional for most of the levels printed by this indicator. Set them via the three dots on indicator status line.
•Due to dynamic repainting of levels, alerts should be used with caution. Best use these alerts either for Higher time frame levels, or when closely monitoring price.
--E.g. You may set an alert for down-fill of the latest FVG below; but price will keep marching up; form a newer/higher FVG, and the alert will trigger on THAT FVG being down-filled (not the original)
•Available Alerts:
-FVG(BISI) cross above threshold(CE or full-fill; user choice). Same with FVG(SIBI).
-HTF last CHoCH down, cross below | HTF last CHoCH up, cross above.
-last CHoCH down, cross below | last CHoCH up, cross above.
-LTH cross above, MTH cross above, STH cross above | LTL cross below, MTL cross below, STL cross below.
////••Formatting (general)::
•all table text color is set from the 'Pivot highs & Lows (ST, MT, LT)' section (for those of you who prefer black backgrounds).
•User choice of Line-style, line color, line width. Same with Boxes. Icon choice for chochs. Char or label text choices for ST/MT/LT pivot highs & lows.
////••User Inputs (general):
•Each of the 4 components of this indicator can be easily toggled on/off independently.
•Quite a lot of options and toggle boxes, as described in full above. Please take your time and read through all the tooltips (hover over '!' icon) to get an idea of formatting options.
•Several Lookback periods defined in bars to control how much history is shown for each of the 4 components of this indicator.
•'Shrink on fill' settings on FVGs and CHoCHs: Basically a way to declutter chart; toggle on/off depending on if you're backtesting or reading live price action.
•Table Display: applies to ST/MT/LT pivot highs and to HTF CHoCHs; Toggle table on or off (in part or in full)
////••Credits:
•Credit to ICT (Inner Circle Trader) for some of the concepts used in this indicator (FVGS & CEs; Grade sweeps).
•Credit to @Icecold_crypto for the specific and novel concept of identifying CHoCHs in a simple, objective and effective manner (as demonstrated in the 1st chart below).
CHoCH demo page 1: shifting tweak; arrow diagrams to demonstrate how CHoCHs are defined:
CHoCH demo page 2: Simplified view; short lookback history; few CHoCHs, demo of 'latest' choch being extended into the future by 10 bars:
USAGE: Bitcoin Hourly using HTF daily CHoCHs:
USAGE-2: Cotton Futures (CT1!) 2hr. Painting a rather bullish picture. Above HTF UP CHoCH, Local CHoCHs show bullish order flow, Nice targets above (MTH/LTH + grade sweeps):
Full Demo; 5min chart; CHoCHs, Short term pivot highs/lows, grade sweeps, FVGs:
Full Demo, Eur/Usd 15m: STH, MTH, LTH grade sweeps, CHoCHs, Usage for finding bias, 3hrs later (part B):
Realtime Vs Backtesting(A): btc/usd 15m; FVGs and CHoCHs: shrink on fill, once filled they repaint discreetly on their origin bar only. Realtime (Shrink on fill, declutter chart):
Realtime Vs Backtesting(B): btc/usd 15m; FVGs and CHoCHs: DON'T shrink on fill; they extend to the point where price crosses them, and fix/paint there. Backtesting (seeing historical behaviour):
Algohub (Nephew_Sam_)(republished as previous version did not meet Tradingview house rules)
This indicator marks out majority Algohub concepts - which will help your system become fully mechanical if it isn't already.
Here are all of the concepts and features included in the indicator:
Timeframe
- You can select the timeframe of the indicator (has to be higher or equal to the chart timeframe)
- Min option is the minimum timeframe to show the indicator. If you show daily structure on 1m chart, you can run into a timeout error so keep it close to the chart timeframe.
Structure
The structure is calculated using a combination of candle patterns (ie. pivot top = Bullish x3-Bearish-Bullish) and pivot points (from strength 1 to 3) and marks out circle labels after a new HH or LL
ILQ - Inducement Liquidity concept
In a bearish example this is the most recent structure high.
TLQ
In a bearish example this is the second most recent structure high.
This is also what helps define our structure direction. If broken, the structure changes (bullish / bearish) and plots a bos line.
EPA - Efficient price action
When price returns back to previous structure point after bos. Similar to an ICT breaker.
Note: It might be a little, just a little buggy if you have set your indicator timeframe to higher than the chart timeframe.
Extremes Zones
The final zone to find a trade entry before a structural shift. These are wick of the TLQ candle. This is select the wick of the current timeframe candle even if indicator is set to higher timeframe.
MSU
Tiny arrow labels at the bottom of your chart. Plots the arrows when price is between an ILQ and TLQ
VTA
Valid trading range. This is when we get some sort of a structure pattern. Plots a box when price induces previous structure point and then breaks structure in the opposite direction. Here are the patterns:
Bull VTA - HH-LL-HH
Bear VTA - LL-HH-LL
Bull Strict VTA - LL-HH-LL-HH
Bear Strict VTA - HH-LL-HH-LL
Bar colors
Changes the bar color based on the structure to all green/red.
Note: for this to work, you will have to right click on the indicator, then under visual order select 'bring to front'
Table
This table plots the structure stats/data
1. If structure is bullish / bearish
2. If price is efficient or not
3. If there is an MSU
4. If price is inside a VTA
HHLL and Liquidity LevelsHHLL AND Liquidity Levels
Description: This indicator shows hidden support and resistance levels and liquidity levels. The indicator allows traders to select source data from open/close or the high and low. The indicator also allows for appearance customization.
How can Higher highs and Lower lows and liquidity levels benefit traders?
HHLL refers to a series of higher highs and lower lows in an asset's price trend, which can indicate a potential reversal in the trend. Liquidity, on the other hand, refers to the ease with which an asset can be bought or sold without affecting its price. HHLL can help traders identify potential trends, while liquidity can ensure that trades can be executed smoothly and without significant price impact.
How can traders use this indicator?
Traders can use the indicator to identify potential market trends and market momentum. When the indicator show a series of higher highs and higher lows it can show a possible uptrend, meanwhile a series of lower lows and lower highs could show a possible uptrend with liquidity to confirm their trading decisions.
The script could also capture hidden support and resistance levels by showing areas where liquidity is concentrated and where price has repeatedly made higher highs and lower lows.
Features:
Support and Resistance levels based on Highs and Lows
Zig zags to show the HHLL's
Liquidity Levels
BOS and CHOCHS labels
Here are some examples of the indicator in action:
The HHLL and Liquidity Levels indicator being used with the Contraction and Expansion indicator to see when expansions are due and then price retest the liquidity levels.
Simple Market StructureThis indicator is meant for education and experimental purposes only.
Many Market Structure Script out there isn't open-sourced and some could be complicated to understand to modify the code. Hence, I published this code to make life easier for beginner programmer like me to modify the code to fit their custom indicator.
As I am not a expert or pro in coding it might not be as accurate as other reputable author.
Any experts or pros that is willing to contribute this code in the comment section below would be appreciated, I will modify and update the script accordingly as part of my learning journey.
It is useful to a certain extend to detect Market Structure using Swing High/Low in all market condition.
Here are some points that I am looking to improve / fix:
To fix certain horizontal lines that does not paint up to the point where it breaks through.
To add in labels when a market structure is broken.
Allow alerts to be sent when market structure is broken (Probably be done in the last few updates after knowing it is stable and as accurate as possible)
Any suggested improvement, please do let me know in the comment section below and I will try my best to implement it into the script.
Detect BOS in Five Candles with MTF - Alert [MsF]Japanese below / 日本語説明は英文の後にあります。
-------------------------
*This indicator is based on azmathshah's "Last Three Candles each of Two HTF".
It's a very cool indicator. thank you.
You can detect trend reversal with candlesticks.
It's MTF compatible and can display up to 2 sets of 5 candles of any time frame on the right side of the chart.
By displaying the candles of the upper time frame bars, you can check the trend change and measure the entry timing with the lower time frame bars.
There are two types of alerts.
"Liquidity Sweep": This is an alert when the upper beard (high) of ③ is touched with the next foot.
"Candle Close": An alert when the upper whisker (high) of ③ is exceeded by the closing price of the next bar (generally a strong signal)
-------------------------
ローソク足でトレンド転換を検知するインジケーターです。
MTF対応となっておりチャートの右側に任意タイムフレームのローソク5本を最大2セット表示できます。
上位足のローソクを表示することにより、トレンド転換確認しながら、下位足でエントリータイミングを計ることができます。
アラートは2種類あります。
"Liquidity Sweep":③の上ヒゲ(high)を次の足でタッチした場合のアラートです
"Candle Close":③の上ヒゲ(high)を次の足の終値で上回った場合のアラートです(一般的には強力なシグナルとなります)
{20}Dashboard Trendlines & Wedge_Pro[vn]This is a script about 20 trading pairs with trendline.
-on each chart of a trading pair, there is only one trendline pair: 1 uptrendline and 1 downtrendline
-so when the statistics on the table also show the column of the uptrend and the column of the downtrend
-When the price approaches any trendline but the ratio is 1%, that trendline will be colored blue (downtrend), red (uptrend)
The column ✎ T.line-trendline above(✐ T.line-trendline below) is the value of the current trendline compared to the closing price of the candle
The ══════\n\𝖗𝖊𝖘𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖆𝖓(𝖘𝖚𝖕𝖕𝖔𝖗𝖙\n\══════) column when the price breaks will show ➊ (the is the first candle) and the percentage value when breaking through the point of the trendline.
Especially when a candle has closed above the trendline (assuming an uptrend), then from the 2nd tree to the current , it will count according to memory so that traders know when the price broke, and how many candles already.
The parameter when breaking is displayed < 10, it means that the price has broken through 10 candles, and the first 10 candles are colored yellow, then the color returns to normal.
In addition, when displaying 3 parameters as above, the next column (above/below T.line) will display the percentage from when the price breaks that point to the current price of the candle.
Wedge column is when the price is stuck between the upper and lower trendlines, if the sharp angle ratio is <=10%, the new column will show the value (and the text color is white) until it breaks to the bottom. 1 direction is left is hidden
Price column is the current price of the candle and the parameter 20:2 is the length of the trendline and to combine the same parameter with the indicator "Trendlines_pro "
STructure Atr Cloud w/ TargetsThis indicator is part of our educational suite focused on teaching price structure, momentum, and mean reversion trading strategies. This indicator is recommended to be used with our “Price Action Trading Indicator” or PATI.
Components of this indicator:
Intraday and Swing Price Structure
Breaks of Structure Identification
Change of Character Identification
Fib-derived Price Targets
Dynamic ATR-based Trend Cloud
This indicator is intended to be used in conjunction with the education we provide to help our users determine their optimal trade plan to utilize their edge.
Intraday (Short-Term) Structure is displayed in gray as HH, HL, LH, LL by default, and the zig-zags can be turned on/off in the settings.
Swing Structure is displayed in yellow as HH, HL, LH, LL by default, and the zig-zags can be turned on/off in the settings.
EQL/EQH show areas where price made an equal low or high.
Dynamic ATR-based Trend Cloud (orange cloud) helps traders stay in profitable trades longer by giving them a visual aid of the current momentum. We have added a confirmation level that dynamically appears when the price breaks over/under the cloud giving validation to the potential trend shift. Failure to break this level tends to result in a rejection and continuation of the current orange cloud trend as you can see in the image above.
Change of Character (ChoCh) shows internal structural breaks where a minor level or supply/demand zone fail, resulting in a potential shift in a short-term trend. Above you can see two common ChoCh setups (head and shoulders/ inverse head and shoulders) that usually result in significant price reversals.
Above is an example of using this indicator on two timeframes to develop short and longer term targets. Previous targets can be used as areas of interest where we can look for price to bounce/reject. Target levels that develop above/below price make great areas to potentially take off some risk/ put risk on.
Multi-Timeframe MA Based Zigzag[liwei666]🎲 Overview
🎯 This Zigzag indicator build based on different MA such as EMA/HMA/RMA/SMA, support multi-timeframe setting .
you can get customer zigzag indicator by change short/long ma length and high-timeframe config(5m/15m/30m/1h/2h) in any symbol.
🎲 Indicator design logic
🎯 entired logic is simple and code looks complex, I‘ll explain core logic here, code already equipped with detailed comments.
1. use close-in EMA's highest/lowest value mark as SWING High/Low when EMA crossover/under, not use func ta.pivothigh()/ta.pivotlow()
2. when EMA crossover/under plot a char as signal like ●/❄/▲, crossover get blue char crossunder get red char
3. latest zigzag line is not drawn until EMA is turned (crossover/under), but signal is realtime
4. you can see diff zigzag structure when you open high-timeframe config, then find regular pattern benefit your trading.
🎲 Settings
🎯 there are 3 group properties in script, just focus on 5 properties in 'GRP1' ,
'GRP2' and 'GRP3' are display config.
'GRP1':
MA_Type: MA type you can choose(EMA/RMA/SMA/HMA/WMA), default is EMA
short_ma_len: short MA length of your current timeframe on chart
long_ma_len: long MA length of your current timeframe on chart
htf_ma_len: MA length of high timeframe, MA type same as 'MA_Type' config
htf_ma_tf: high timeframe ma length, 15/30/60/120 minute
'GRP2':
• show_short_zz • show_long_zz • show_htf_zz:
'GRP3':
• show_short_ma_line • show_short_ma_signal
• show_long_ma_line • show_long_ma_signal
• show_htf_ma_line • show_htf_ma_signal
🎲 Usage
🎯 As we know, MA based signal usually worked fine in trend market , low volatility is unprofitable.
🎯 One of pattern as the chart show below.
1. success example : after a blue ▲ signal, entry long when blue ● signal appear, marked with green box.
2. failed example: after a blue ▲ signal, a red ▼ signal appear, marked with white box.
🎯 BoS(Break of Structure) based on ma zigzag is a good idea I'm implementing, it will be published in next script.
Additionally, I plan to publish 20 profitable strategies in 2023; this indicatior not one of them,
let‘s witness it together!
Hope this indicator will be useful for you :)
enjoy! 🚀🚀🚀
ICT 2022 Mentorship Model [TFO]An attempt at programming the logic from the Inner Circle Trader (ICT) 2022 Mentorship Model. It's not perfect by any means, and NOT intended as a substitute for learning the model itself. I just wanted to share what I’ve been able to make thus far. PLEASE read this description thoroughly before reaching out with questions.
How it works, as of the initial release (bullish example):
When major Sell Side Liquidity (SSL) is taken, this script will start looking for displacement through a recent swing high, marking a potential Market Structure Shift (MSS)
From the bar that created the MSS, displacement is deemed valid if the range of that bar is greater than the standard deviation of recent price history, multiplied by the “Displacement Strength” parameter. Valid displacement also requires that a Fair Value Gap (FVG) was created
Once the above conditions are met, the script will assume we are now seeking Buy Side Liquidity (BSL), and will continue to look for long entries in an FVG after subsequent displacement through swing highs. *This script will keep looking for long entries until price takes out BSL*
Similarly, if price took out BSL and displaced through a swing low, the script will only look for short entries in an FVG until an SSL pivot is reached (alerts can be configured to show these potential entries)
Settings:
Show Structure Breaks: show breaks of structure on the current timeframe
Show Liquidity Taken: show when major liquidity has been traded through
Show Liquidity Pivots: show all pivots that are being considered as liquidity
Structure Pivot Strength: determines how strong a local high/low must be for structural pivots on the current timeframe
Liquidity Multiplier: this number, multiplied by Structure Pivot Strength, will determine the pivot strength used to find valid liquidity, which should always be greater than the Structure Pivot Strength
BOS Type: “Close” will only count structure breaks when price closes through a prior pivot, whereas “Wick” will include structure breaks even if price only wicks through the prior pivot
Show Displacement: show bar coloring for valid displacement through a swing high/low
Show Displacement FVG: show FVGs that results from valid displacement
Displacement Type: use “Open to Close” to look for displacement using only the body of a candle, or “High to Low” to use the candle’s entire price range
Displacement Strength: higher values will look for more significant displacement candles, and vice versa
Max Bars to Extend FVG: if an FVG has not been overwritten or invalidated, it will extend to the right for a maximum of this many bars
I recommend lowering the values for Structure Pivot Strength and Liquidity Multiplier for larger chart timeframes, and increasing the values for smaller timeframes. I prefer keeping the displacement strength to >= 3, which would be 3 times the standard deviation of recent price history.
DonchianFib[Akcay]How does it work?
- The indicator detects the highest and lowest price level in the last x periods every time prices advance by x periods.
- From these values, retracement (0.618, 0.786) and expansion levels (1.272, 1.618, 2, 2.618, 3.14, 3.618, 4.236) are obtained.
- Since the symmetrical counterpart of the retracement levels is used, there are two of each of the 0.618 and 0.786 lines, for a total of four.
How can it be used?
- It can be used for step buying.
- It can be used for step selling.
- Can be used to set a profit target.
- Can be used to set a stop target.
- This indicator can be used in the same way as Pivot levels can be used. You can think of this indicator like the Pivot Points Standard indicator, where you set the period more flexibly.
Which indicators can it be combined with?
- I don't think there are any limitations, but I think it is compatible with trend detection indicators, trend detection with DonchianFib, and stepped buy/sell with limit orders.
- If you want to enter a position with mismatch signals, you can wait for the DonchianFib levels to break.
- Its use is limited by your imagination :)
Where does the name come from?
- As the name suggests, Donchian Channels. I was inspired by Donchian Channels when developing the indicator. Donchian channels show the highs and lows of prices over the last x number of periods. DonchianFib does this once for every x periods and uses the fibonacci levels to create upper and intermediate levels.
Note : I don't know if such an indicator has been done before or not. If it has been done, I haven't seen it in tradingview.
Çalışma mantığı nedir ?
- Gösterge, fiyatlar her x periyot kadar ilerlediğinde son x periyot içerisindeki en yüksek ve en düşük fiyat seviyesini tespit eder.
- Bu değerler üzerinden geri çekilme (0.618, 0.786) ve genişleme seviyeleri (1.272, 1.618, 2, 2.618, 3.14, 3.618, 4.236) elde edilir.
- Geri çekilme seviyelerinin simetrik karşılığı kullanıldığından 0.618 ve 0.786 çizgilerinden her birinden iki adet olmak üzere toplamda dört adet bulunur.
Nasıl kullanılabilir ?
- Kademeli alım yapmak için kullanılabilir.
- Kademeli satım yapmak için kullanılabilir.
- Kâr hedefi belirlemek için kullanılabilir.
- Stop hedefi belirlemek için kullanılabilir.
- Pivot seviyelerinden nasıl faydalanılıyorsa bu göstergeden de aynı şekilde faydalanılabilir. Bu göstergeyi, periyodunu kendinizin daha esnek bir şekilde belirlediğiniz Pivot Noktalar Standartı göstergesi gibi düşünebilirsiniz.
Hangi göstergelerle kombine edilebilir ?
- Bunun için herhangi sınırlama yapmak doğru değil ancak trend tespit etmeye çalışan göstergelerle uyumlu olduğunu düşünüyorum. Bu göstergeler ile trend tespiti yapıp DonchianFib ile alım/satım yerleri belirlenebilir ve limit emirleri ile kademeli alım/satım yapılabilir.
- Uyuşmazlık sinyalleri ile pozisyona girilmek isteniliyorsa DonchianFib seviyelerinin kırılması beklenebilir.
- Kullanımı sizin hayal gücünüz ile sınırlıdır :)
Adı nereden geliyor ?
- Adından da anlaşılacağı üzere Donchian Kanallarından. Göstergeyi geliştirirken Donchian Kanallarından ilham aldım. Donchian kanalları fiyatların son x periyot içerisindeki en yüksek ve en düşük seviyelerini grafikte gösteriyor. DonchianFib ise bunu her x periyot için bir defa yapıp, fibonacci seviyelerini de kullanarak üst ve ara seviyeler oluşturuyor.
Not : Daha önce böyle bir göstergenin yapılıp yapılmadığını bilmiyorum. Yapıldı ise ben tradingview'da görmedim.
SFC Smart Money Manipulation - Liquidity, StructureThis indicator shows very important information about the market.
Features:
- Market structure
- Important Ranges
- Liquidity
- Trading session
- Daily Checklist
Market structure
Market structure is the behaviour, condition, and current flow of the market. It highlights support and resistance levels, swing highs, and swing lows. A trend is simply a consistent direction of price movement over time. Market structure can tell you if the market is trending or not.
Market structure is a lagging indicator, because Highs and Lows must to be created in order to define the structure properly. The structure provide the most important information about the market.
Market structure can provide early signals about the trend.
- If the structure continues to break in the same direction, it means that the trend is healthy and will continue (BoS).
- If the structure break in the opposite direction, means that the trend may reverse or pause for a while (CHoCH).
Important ranges
- Asia Range - it is important intraday range and can provide early information if the day will be bullish or bearish.
- Most recent High/Low - determine the last swing
- Premium/ Discount zone with Fibonacci levels - the institutions always want to buy in discount and sell in premium.
Liquidity
Areas where a lot of traders get into the market and theirs stop losses are obvious. So the banks will manipulate the price to clear these stop losses, before price go in real direction. The banks will always hunt the liquidity.
The major liquidity is:
- Doji candle - displayed
- Double/Triple Highs or Lows - displayed
- Fair value gaps - displayed
- Imbalances - displayed
- Trend lines
- Big wicks
Trading Sessions
Price and Time theory is very significant in Smart Money Concept. The banks do not just place orders chaotically. They place it in specific time.
The indicator shows the Asia, London and New York intraday sessions and the kill zones.
Kill Zone - most manipulated time in the day, where institutions try to wipe out the retail traders and establish the true move.
Daily Checklist
Simple, but very useful checklist. It shows the most important daily steps in order qualitative analysis to be created.
How to use
1) Use the swing highs and lows and check the current structure.
2) Look where is the major liquidity. By default orange colour. When liquidity is retested from the price ,it change the colour from orange to gray. Retested liquidity is no more significant for the banks.
3) Use the important ranges to define the pullbacks or reversals or trading ranges.
4) Use the trading sessions and kill zones to place orders in the right time.
5) Use the "daily checklist" every day - step by step. It helps trader to analyse the current market.
Settings
Candlestick Pattern Criteria and Analysis Indicator█ OVERVIEW
Define, then locate the presence of a candle that fits a specific criteria. Run a basic calculation on what happens after such a candle occurs.
Here, I’m not giving you an edge, but I’m giving you a clear way to find one.
IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE READ:
THE INDICATOR WILL ALWAYS INITIALLY LOAD WITH A RUNTIME ERROR. WHEN INITIALLY LOADED THERE NO CRITERIA SELECTED.
If you do not select a criteria or run a search for a criteria that doesn’t exist, you will get a runtime error. If you want to force the chart to load anyway, enable the debug panel at the bottom of the settings menu.
Who this is for:
- People who want to engage in TradingView for tedious and challenging data analysis related to candlestick measurement and occurrence rate and signal bar relationships with subsequent bars. People who don’t know but want to figure out what a strong bullish bar or a strong bearish bar is.
Who this is not for:
- People who want to be told by an indicator what is good or bad or buy or sell. Also, not for people that don’t have any clear idea on what they think is a strong bullish bar or a strong bearish bar and aren’t willing to put in the work.
Recommendation: Use on the candle resolution that accurately reflects your typical holding period. If you typically hold a trade for 3 weeks, use 3W candles. If you hold a trade for 3 minutes, use 3m candles.
Tldr; Read the tool tips and everything above this line. Let me know any issues that arise or questions you have.
█ CONCEPTS
Many trading styles indicate that a certain candle construct implies a bearish or bullish future for price. That said, it is also common to add to that idea that the context matters. Of course, this is how you end up with all manner of candlestick patterns accounting for thousands of pages of literature. No matter the context though, we can distill a discretionary trader's decision to take a trade based on one very basic premise: “A trader decides to take a trade on the basis of the rightmost candle's construction and what he/she believes that candle construct implies about the future price.” This indicator vets that trader’s theory in the most basic way possible. It finds the instances of any candle construction and takes a look at what happens on the next bar. This current bar is our “Signal Bar.”
█ GUIDE
I said that we vet the theory in the most basic way possible. But, in truth, this indicator is very complex as a result of there being thousands of ways to define a ‘strong’ candle. And you get to define things on a very granular level with this indicator.
Features:
1. Candle Highlighting
When the user’s criteria is met, the candle is highlighted on the chart.
The following candle is highlighted based on whether it breaks out, breaks down, or is an inside bar.
2. User-Defined Criteria
Criteria that you define include:
Candle Type: Bull bars, Bear bars, or both
Candle Attributes
Average Size based on Standard Deviation or Average of all potential bars in price history
Search within a specific price range
Search within a specific time range
Clarify time range using defined sessions and with or without weekends
3. Strike Lines on Candle
Often you want to know how price reacts when it gets back to a certain candle. Also it might be true that candle types cluster in a price region. This can be identified visually by adding lines that extend right on candles that fit the criteria.
4. User-Defined Context
Labeled “Alternative Criteria,” this facet of the script allows the user to take the context provided from another indicator and import it into the indicator to use as a overriding criteria. To account for the fact that the external indicator must be imported as a float value, true (criteria of external indicator is met) must be imported as 1 and false (criteria of external indicator is not met) as 0. Basically a binary Boolean. This can be used to create context, such as in the case of a traditional fractal, or can be used to pair with other signals.
If you know how to code in Pinescript, you can save a copy and simply add your own code to the section indicated in the code and set your bull and bear variables accordingly and the code should compile just fine with no further editing needed.
Included with the script to maximize out-of-the-box functionality, there is preloaded as alternative criteria a code snippet. The criteria is met on the bull side when the current candle close breaks out above the prior candle high. The bear criteria is met when the close breaks below the prior candle. When Alternate Criteria is run by itself, this is the only criteria set and bars are highlighted when it is true. You can qualify these candles by adding additional attributes that you think would fit well.
Using Alternative Criteria, you are essentially setting a filter for the rest of the criteria.
5. Extensive Read Out in the Data Window (right side bar pop out window).
As you can see in the thumbnail, there is pasted a copy of the Data Window Dialogue. I am doubtful I can get the thumbnail to load up perfectly aligned. Its hard to get all these data points in here. It may be better suited for a table at this point. Let me know what you think.
The primary, but not exclusive, purpose of what is in the Data Window is to talk about how often your criteria happens and what happens on the next bar. There are a lot of pieces to this.
Red = Values pertaining to the size of the current bar only
Blue = Values pertaining or related to the total number of signals
Green = Values pertaining to the signal bars themselves, including their measurements
Purple = Values pertaining to bullish bars that happen after the signal bar
Fuchsia = Values pertaining to bearish bars that happen after the signal bar
Lime = Last four rows which are your percentage occurrence vs total signals percentages
The best way I can explain how to understand parts you don’t understand otherwise in the data window is search the title of the row in the code using ‘ctrl+f’ and look at it and see if it makes more sense.
█ [b}Available Candle Attributes
Candle attributes can be used in any combination. They include:
[*}Bodies
[*}High/Low Range
[*}Upper Wick
[*}Lower Wick
[*}Average Size
[*}Alternative Criteria
Criteria will evaluate each attribute independently. If none is set for a particular attribute it is bypassed.
Criteria Quantity can be in Ticks, Points, or Percentage. For percentage keep in mind if using anything involving the candle range will not work well with percentage.
Criteria Operators are “Greater Than,” “Less Than,” and “Threshold.” Threshold means within a range of two numbers.
█ Problems with this methodology and opportunities for future development:
#1 This kind of work is hard.
If you know what you’re doing you might be able to find success changing out the inputs for loops and logging results in arrays or matrices, but to manually go through and test various criteria is a lot of work. However, it is rewarding. At the time of publication in early Oct 2022, you will quickly find that you get MUCH more follow through on bear bars than bull bars. That should be obvious because we’re in the middle of a bear market, but you can still work with the parameters and contextual inputs to determine what maximizes your probability. I’ve found configurations that yield 70% probability across the full series of bars. That’s an edge. That means that 70% of the time, when this criteria is met, the next bar puts you in profit.
#2 The script is VERY heavy.
Takes an eternity to load. But, give it a break, it’s doing a heck of a lot! There is 10 unique arrays in here and a loop that is a bit heavy but gives us the debug window.
#3 If you don’t have a clear idea its hard to know where to start.
There are a lot of levers to pull on in this script. Knowing which ones are useful and meaningful is very challenging. Combine that with long load times… its not great.
#4 Your brain is the only thing that can optimize your results because the criteria come from your mind.
Machine learning would be much more useful here, but for now, you are the machine. Learn.
#5 You can’t save your settings.
So, when you find a good combo, you’ll have to write it down elsewhere for future reference. It would be nice if we could save templates on custom indicators like we can on some of the built in drawing tools, but I’ve had no success in that. So, I recommend screenshotting your settings and saving them in Notion.so or some other solid record keeping database. Then you can go back and retrieve those settings.
#6 no way to export these results into conditions that can be copy/pasted into another script.
Copy/Paste of labels or tables would be the best feature ever at this point. Because you could take the criteria and put it in a label, copy it and drop it into another strategy script or something. But… men can dream.
█ Opportunities to PineCoders Learn:
1. In this script I’m importing libraries, showing some of my libraries functionality. Hopefully that gives you some ideas on how to use them too.
The price displacement library (which I love!)
Creative and conventional ways of using debug()
how to display arrays and matrices on charts
I didn’t call in the library that holds the backtesting function. But, also demonstrating, you can always pull the library up and just copy/paste the function out of there and into your script. That’s fine to do a lot of the time.
2. I am using REALLY complicated logic in this script (at least for me). I included extensive descriptions of this ? : logic in the text of the script. I also did my best to bracket () my logic groups to demonstrate how they fit together, both for you and my future self.
3. The breakout, built-in, “alternative criteria” is actually a small bit of genius built in there if you want to take the time to understand that block of code and think about some of the larger implications of the method deployed.
As always, a big thank you to TradingView and the Pinescript community, the Pinescript pros who have mentored me, and all of you who I am privileged to help in their Pinescripting journey.
Automated MSB OTE Fibs and Premium DiscountOTE means optimal trade entry and can give the best price point to enter a trade at lower time frames. This indicator automatically draws these OTE levels and the premium /discount of the range, following a market structure break or MSB.
It does this by finding a pivot, checking if it has been broken by a candle body, then drawing a line for that MSB.
The premium /discount range and fib levels are taken from the high/low before and after the MSB, with the most recent MSB being used.
What is particularly great is that the levels and boxes move in realtime, so there is never any need to redraw things manually, drawing is fully automated and updates with every change in price or MSBs.
Settings:
Left and Right bars for Pivot - this determines the strength of the pivot that has been broken. The stronger the pivot, the stronger the MSB.
Max Lookback - How far to look back for MSBs.
Various aesthetic options to show bullish / bearish MSBs independently, as well as colour and line settings for the MSB, Fibs and Premium/Discount.
SMM - Smart Money IndicatorHello Traders,
SMM – Smart Money Indicator is a Smart Money Concepts indicator that is meant to make your trading a bit easier and take the guess work away. Our mission is to save your time with already marking up the chart for you (all automatic). This indicator will help you spot the point of interests a.k.a. Order Blocks, Supply and Demand zones and Fair Value Gaps. Our mission is to create the best Smart Money Concepts indicator on the market. For that we would like to receive your guy’s feedback on it.
Smart Money refers to the capital that institutional investors, central banks, and other professionals or financial institutions control. Market Structure is the foundation of price action trading, understanding price action is fundamental to SMC .
Market Structure based of fractals – We are using fractal-based market structure since it’s way stronger than for example an Eliot wave. So, we only get the clearest break of structure (BoS- Trend continuation) and Change of Character (CHoCH- Possible change of trend)
Features
- Changing the break type to either only the body or body and the wick
- Period of looking back to determine structure (combined with the supply and demand zones)
Multiple Time frame Supply and Demand – Displayed typically as the last up/down candle before a big move in the opposite direction. Great zones to entry from on the lower time frame, also you can target previous demand/supply zones as potential take profit areas.
Features
- Multiple time frame
- Changing the amount of candles to calculate the zones.
- Option to remove mitigated zones / change color
- Extending the HTF Box to current time. (If not mitigated)
Order Blocks – What we use for our lower time frame zones to enter from. It’s basically the same as supply and demand but then on a lower time frame. Most likely once prices come into your higher time frame Supply and Demand zones, we would scale down to the lower time frames and then wait for our pattern to entry.
Features
- Extending the LTF Box to current time. (If not mitigated)
- Options to remove mitigated zones / change color
Fair Value Gaps - Is also known as an imbalance. An FVG is an imbalance of orders for instance, for sellers to complete their trades, there must be buyers and vice versa so when a market receives to many of one kind of order buys or sells, and not enough of the order’s counterpart. When the amount is not balanced and to many orders are put in for one direction, it creates an imbalance where price likes to get back too. We have 2 different options that shows you all the imbalances but also one that only shows the structure breaking imbalances which we see as the most important one.
Features
- Plotting all Fair Value Gaps
- Plotting only structure breaking Fair Value Gaps
Previous Day High and Low – Will mark up the previous day high and low what could indicate that if price breaks out of the previous day high that it will most likely trend upwards. If it breaks below, it will most likely trend down for the upcoming time.
- Showing only the recent previous day high and low
- Showing all the previous high and lows
- Show nothing
Alerts – We’ve made possible that you can also choose to receive an alert on your device once price comes in to one of the supply and demand zones. (Must place the alerts function into your alert management tab on trading view) Only works if you add the alert on when you are on the same time frame as your supply and demand zones.
You can also choose to receive alerts when a supply or demand zone has been created.
IC Sniper
Hello fellow traders,
This is a script which tries to visualise SMC /Institutional Candles.
Few of the features which are used in the script are explained below,
CAUTION, Do not enable IC Candles option (BETA). It has a lot of flaws which require solving the problem from a different angle, and I am trying my level best to figure out a solution.
Left Bars and Right Bars, used to find pivot high and lows to help us make Market Structure.
Now first thing to understand when trying to figure out SMC or institutional moves is the figure out the trend you are in. Trend is always your friend, so use higher time frame to just see the trend ( Trend lines are handy ).
I suggest using manual trend detection option, you have other two options available. Either of them have some flaws which can be worked upon if required.
Find the trend, be it manually or EMA ensures are trend support order blocks and engulfing candles are shown.
IC = Institutional Candle
How to find an IC ???
Simple things are ensured.
Below is defined for a bear market
1) Clears liquidity ( I simply see the last green candle before a minor dump ( vice-versa ) and see if the last green candle or the following red candle have huge wicks which clear recent previous highs (3 candles)
2) Next I see if the red candle after the last green candles is engulfing in nature ( yellow for bearing environment and white for bullish )
3) Then I create an order block.
4) Sometimes if imbalance after an order block is tooo big, the re test only fills the imbalance rather than reaching the IC . Imbalances are shown with grey boxes, the ones filled are automatically removed.
For successful entries please ensure that the candles succeeding engulfing candles break a market structure (BOS, ChoCh).
Any suggestion are welcome.
Please change max moves to detect to 5 from 3
Caution not all order blocks made are perfect !! Further adjustments are required but are too complicated for me to code, have to find some way around and I am sure with update I will refine the options.
Basic things to look,
IC should be followed buy a pump or a dump ( with some candles being out of the trend (I have given some scope in the code)) plus it should have a high wick which clears liquidity.
Meu Script 44My script 44.
The indicator uses 4 Arnaud Legaux moving averages calibrated by myself. It uses the following periods 17, 72 ,305 and 1292.
It is based on the work of Bo Williams (PhiCube) and the fractal 5-3.
When the moving averages are aligned up 17 > 72 > 305 > 1292 look for a buy. Above the green region or inside the green region.
When the moving averages are aligned down 17 < 72 < 305 < 1292 look for a sell. Under the green region or inside the green region.
If between the MAs wait for the end of the consolidation.
The color show in a diferent manner the moving averages and the regions proper to trade and to avoid.
Market Cost Averages (Market Maliyet Ortalamaları) 20/50/100/200English
This plugin is similar to EMA. The difference is that when calculating the averages, the volumes are also included . For example, you have BTC bought at two different prices. Quantities are also used when calculating costs. in the same way, this plugin calculates the cost price of the entire market using volumes.
When you buy a product, your cost price is the purchase price of the product. The same applies to the buyer when you sell. Using the volumes and prices in the chart, the cost of the entire market can be calculated.
Example:
First trade
amount:10 BTC
price: 40000
Second trade
amount:20 BTC
price: 50000
Cost = (10*40000+20*50000)/30
Cost = 43300
EMA only uses the prices on the chart. Does not use volumes. Therefore, calculations are incorrect.
Example:
First trade
amount:10 BTC
price: 40000
Second trade
amount:20 BTC
price: 50000
Cost = (40000+50000)/2
Cost = 45000
The error is clearly visible in the examples above.Although the results are close, they are not the same.
Warning: it is not known how long investors hold the received products. Market cost is recalculated when the same product is reprocessed. For this reason, market costs calculated closer to today give more accurate results. As the calculation time grows, the calculation error will grow. Reprocessing products sold in a rising market will reduce the cost average, while reprocessing products sold in a falling market will increase the cost average. (If we could identify the product sold and remove it from the calculation, we could get the right result.)
The Add-On is a very good guide for those who want to collect long-term products : buying below cost averages aims to make a profit by selling above cost averages. We can say that when the fastest moving average begins to cut slower averages from the bottom, respectively, the purchase Time begins, when it cuts from the top, the sale time begins. It is also known that these averages work as support and resistance .
Bu eklenti marketteki alım ve satımı yapılan ürünlerin miktarlarını da hesaba katarak tüm marketin gerçek maliyet fiyatını hesaplar. Böylece kendi maliyetiniz ile tüm marketin maliyetini karşılaştırabilirsiniz. Herkesin aynı anda kazanması mümkün olmadığı için bir ürünü daha ucuza maal eden kazanırken daha pahalıya maal eden kaybedecektir.
Uyarı: Alınan ürünleri yatırımcıların ne kadar süre ellerinde tuttuğu bilinmemektedir. Aynı ürün yeniden işleme girdiğinde market maliyeti yeniden hesaplanmaktadır. Bu nedenle günümüze daha yakın olarak hesaplanan market maliyetleri daha doğru sonuç vermektedir. Hesaplama süresi büyüdükçe hesaplama hatası büyüyecektir. Yükselen piyasada satılmış ürünlerin yeniden işleme girmesi maliyet ortalamasını düşürürken, düşen piyasada satılmış ürünlerin yeniden işleme girmesi maliyet ortalamasını yükseltecektir. (Satılan ürünü tespit edip hesaplamadan çıkartabilseydik doğru sonuca ulaşabilirdik.)
"Market Maliyet Ortalamaları" eklentisi ile Yatırımcıların sıklıkla kullandığı 20, 50, 100 ve 200 günlük hareketli ortalamalar birbirine çok benzer ancak işlem hacimleri de hesaba katıldığı için "Market Maliyet Ortalamaları" eklentisinin verdiği sonuçlar daha doğrudur. 20, 50, 100 ve 200 günlük hareketli ortalamalar bildiğiniz gibi sadece fiyatların ortalamaları alınarak bulunur hacimler işleme katılmaz.
Her alış satış işlemi yatırımcının elindeki ürünün yeni maliyet fiyatını oluşturur hareketli ortalamaları da aslında bu maliyet fiyatını bulmak için kullanırız. Maliyet ortalamalarının altından alış yapılırsa ürün ucuza alınmış olur. Ancak işlem hacimlerinin hesaba katılmaması maliyet fiyatının doğru hesaplanamamasına neden olur.
Örneğin: 10 BTC yi 40 binden 20 BTC yi 50 binden aldınız maliyetiniz (10*40+20*50)/30=43,3 bine gelir ancak sıklıkla kullanılan hareketli ortalamalar aynı maliyet fiyatını (40+50)/2=45 bin olarak hesaplar. Dolayısı ile rakamlar yakın olsa da doğru değerleri vermemektedir.
Eklenti uzun vadeli ürün toplamak isteyenler için çok güzel bir rehber: Maliyet ortalamalarının altından alış, maliyet ortalamalarının üzerinden satış yaparak kazanç elde etmeyi amaçlıyor. En hızlı hareketli ortalama daha yavaş ortalamaları sırasıyla alttan kesmeye başladığı zaman alım zamanı başlıyor üstten kestiği zaman satış zamanı başlıyor diyebiliriz. Ayrıca bu ortalamaların destek ve direnç olarak çalıştığı da bilinmektedir.
