GC: pullback or something bigger?

Price is trading in premium, 3.5% above the range midpoint at 4,063.85 — roughly 55% of the way up the dealing range. GC printed a bullish MSS on 5 Aug at 4,171.40; that is still the reference point for the trend.

The nearest unmitigated demand is the unmitigated demand block at 3,417.60, well away from price at 18.8% below. Resistance worth respecting starts at 5,152.40 – 5,242.10, a long way off.

If 3,417.60 holds on a closing basis, a push toward 5,152.40 – 5,242.10 is the natural next step. Invalidation is simple — body closes under 3,417.60.

MGC1! solid setup this morning. two candle sequence trigger with a break of both lows and trend. A+ entry setup.

📈 GC: where the next decision gets made

The setup:

Since the bullish MSS at 4,171.40 on 5 Aug, the path of least resistance has been higher. An open bearish FVG above (4,145.20 – 4,351.60) is likely to act as a magnet.

The plan:

Bulls want to see 3,417.60 hold and then a daily close back toward 5,152.40 – 5,242.10. Failure below 5,152.40 keeps 3,417.60 in play as the next draw. Invalidation is simple — body closes under 3,417.60.

The chart will tell us soon enough.

🔍 Gold: the trend, the location, and the catch

Since the bullish MSS at 4,171.40 back on 5 Aug, the path of least resistance has been higher. Bullish structure, premium pricing — fine for holders, less attractive for new entries.

If price dips, the bullish order block at 3,417.60 is the first real shelf — 18.2% from here. Resistance worth respecting starts at 5,152.40 – 5,242.10, well away from price. There is a bearish imbalance being filled right now — 4,145.20 – 4,351.60, with consequent encroachment at 4,248.40.

Bulls want to see 3,417.60 hold and then a daily close back toward 5,152.40 – 5,242.10. What would change my mind: acceptance below 3,417.60. The London session tends to be where these levels get tested properly.

Small size until the zone proves itself.
