Alignment of drawings at 45 degrees on mobile devices

Aug 8

We’ve been asked a lot about this, so we’ve added the ability to place drawing objects with 45° alignment on mobile devices

In the mobile version and apps, a button for drawing a line at 45° appeared on the floating properties panel of the object. This mode is an alternative to drawing with the Shift key held down in the computer version.

Here’s how to use the new mode:

  1. Add a drawing object, such as a trend line
  2. On the floating properties panel of the drawing object, click the angle button
  3. Move any point of the object and the line will change its slope in 45° increments.

When the button is active, any new drawing tool will be drawn in this mode, and the previously drawn object will be edited accordingly. To exit the 45° drawing mode, turn off the option on the floating panel.

On the computer version, you can still use the Shift key to align the line at 45°.

Aside from the Trend Line, the following drawing tools support 45° alignment: Ray, Trend Angle, Info Line, Price Note, Fib Speed Resistance Fan, Fib Circles, Circle, Rectangle, Rotated Rectangle, Ellipse, Parallel Channel, Flat Top/Bottom, Disjoint Channel, Arrow Marker.

We hope that this update will make your experience on mobile devices more comfortable, and we are looking forward to your feedback and new suggestions.
