The fund is actively managed and chooses constituents from the Impax Global Womens Leadership Index, which is an index of global companies that are perceived to promote gender equality and womens leadership, while excluding those that do not meet certain ESG and/or sustainability thresholds. The funds active strategy selects securities from this index and overweights companies it believes have more highly favourable gender leadership characteristics. The fund aims to provide a portfolio of companies it believes will demonstrate a commitment to advancing and empowering women through gender diversity within managerial and executive positions, and also through other policies and programs.
