The actively managed fund-of-funds targets equity ETFs that are positioned to benefit from potential shifts in technology, society, environment, and demographics. The portfolio consists of thematic ETFs listed on North American exchanges selected based on a momentum rules-based approach. The portfolio construction begins with an initial universe of thematic ETFs determined based on cost, liquidity factors, and how the fund holdings or indexes capture a long-term secular trend in the market or economy. The fund then employs a proprietary quantitative process that provides signals to the portfolio management team to allocate or not to specific thematic ETFs among the pre-selected universe. Indicators include technical market trends, with an emphasis on relative strength and momentum. If there are not enough buy signals within the universe, the fund may allocate to broad market equity ETFs or hold cash. The fund may invest up to 100% of its assets in foreign securities.
