The fund is passively managed to provide ESG exposure to the Canadian corporate bond market. The index includes Canadian corporate bonds rated investment grade with at least one year remaining to maturity. Issuers with a high controversy rating or a severe ESG risk rating are eliminated in the selection process. Firms that derive significant revenue from tobacco or are involved in controversial weapons are also excluded. The index uses a methodology that reflects the top 50% of its parent universe by market capitalization. The resulting portfolio is weighted by market value, with single issuer weights capped at 5%. The portfolio is rebalanced on a monthly basis.
