Elon's Mom: Stop Being Mean To My 'Genius' Son! BBC Show Showers Tesla CEO With Flattery

Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk is a “genius.”

That's according to Musk’s own mother, who appears in the new BBC documentary series, “The Elon Musk Show.”

Despite receiving admiration for his achievements — Musk founded Tesla, SpaceX and Neuralink — “no one wants to be him,” Maye Musk says, adding, "With those companies, he gets a lot of hate... Stop being mean to him."

Musk's mother isn't the only one singing her son's praises. Dolly Singh, who was an executive at SpaceX from 2008 to 2013, compared her former boss to Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla and John D. Rockefeller.

In fact, Singh claims Musk is smarter than Einstein.

“[Musk] learned everything about Tesla and Einstein," she said. "He has learned everything that they knew and he's trying to take it to the next level.”

Singh made the comments on the show, which premiered in the U.K. last week. Business Insider previewed it. The first episode is also available on YouTube.
