Singapore Stocks End Higher; Hatten Land Shares Soar 10% on Deal to Launch Esports Hub in Melaka

Singapore's Straits Times Index continued to trade in the positive territory on Thursday, despite Wall Street stocks taking a dip overnight, after the latest US Federal Reserve minutes fanned concerns that interest rates will continue to rise.

During the day, the benchmark index ranged between 3,257.48 and 3,288.47, ending 0.29% or 9.33 points higher at 3,272.09.

In corporate news, Hatten Land's PH0 shares soared nearly 10% on Thursday's close, as its unit Hatten Edge teamed up with Moonton Games to develop and roll out Mobile Legends: Bang Bang integrated esports hub in Melaka at ElementX.

Shares of Meta Health 55DX zoomed over 3% on Thursday's close, as its unit 5Digital completed the acquisition of the remaining 14.93% interest in Gainhealth on Wednesday.

OxPay Financial's TVV shares slipped more than 1% on Thursday's close, as the company's proposed acquisition of minority stakes in Singapore-based mobile applications developer AppsPOS and its affiliated company in Hong Kong, AppsPOS Development, fell through.
