Chinese co wins 398 mln lei (81 mln euro) deal to build Bucharest belt motorway section

BUCHAREST (Romania), November 28 (SeeNews) - Romania's road infrastructure company, CNAIR, said that China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) won a 398 million lei ($84.2 million/80.8 million euro) tender for the construction of a section of a belt motorway in the northern part of the capital Bucharest.

The length of the section is 8.6 km, CNAIR said in a press release on Friday.

The contract has a duration of 30 months, of which 12 months for the design stage and 18 months for the execution of the works.

The contract also enisages the construction of several overpasses.

The finished works will benefit from a warranty period of ten years.

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation is a Chinese construction and engineering company, established in 1979. By the end of 2016, the company had offices and headquarters in 89 countries, according to data from its website.
