Kyndryl evolving into company benefitting Bulgaria’s digital transformation

SOFIA (Bulgaria), February 1 (SeeNews) - Kyndryl, the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider, has grown from an IT services department into a company that is supporting Bulgaria’s innovation agenda and digital transformation, Aleksandar Nikolov, managing director at Kyndryl Bulgaria, said on Wednesday.

“In the last year we transformed at the speed of light,” Nikolov said in press release. “We quickly earned the trust of Bulgarian customers. Through Kyndryl’s Customer Innovation Center in Sofia, we have been earning the trust of international customers too.”

Kyndryl spun off from global tech giant IBM in late 2021 and over the past year it launched operations across Southeast Europe (SEE). Currently, Kyndryl's clients - thousands of companies in over 60 countries - manage critical assets of the world's key systems.

Across SEE, Kyndryl has concluded services agreements with First Investment Bank (Fibank) and Raiffeisenbank in Bulgaria, Slovenian lender NLB, Bank of Cyprus and Hungarian CIB, among others. For Fibank, Kyndryl designed and implemented an automated online loan processing system and helped the lender migrate its retail and corporate loan processes to the new digital platform.

In Bulgaria, Kyndryl is able to cover all segments of the ICT market, which in the last seven years saw its turnover quadruple, reaching 2.5 billion euro ($2.72 billion), the company said.

"Whether you withdraw money from an ATM, open a bank account, or shop online, it is likely that some Kyndryl-supported technologies and practices are involved in the delivery of your service,” Nikolov said.

Kyndryl has six global practices organised around the way customers use services: Cloud Services; Core Enterprise and zCloud; Applications, Data and AI; Digital Workplace; Security and Resiliency; and Network and Edge. Responding to organisations' demand for fast and advanced delivery of transformational projects, Kyndryl launched last year Kyndryl Bridge - an open integration platform, Kyndryl Vital - a co-creation experience where Kyndryl professional designers and technical experts work side-by-side with customers and partners, and Kyndryl Consult - a new brand for its amplified advisory and implementation services.

“All of these new services - Kyndryl Bridge, Kyndryl Vital and Kyndryl Consult, are great examples of how Kyndryl’s new freedom is enabling it to invest in our business and in our customers’ success,” Nikolov commented.
