Ljubljana stock exchange indices rise, Krka shines

LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 1 (SeeNews) - Each of the two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) rose 2.16% on Wednesday, as none of the blue chips closed the session in red territory, bourse data showed.

The blue-chip SBITOP index ended at 1,153.06 points, while the SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, closed the session at 1,457.80 points, LJSE data showed.

Pharmaceutical company Krka [LJE:KRKG] paced the blue-chip risers and generated the highest single trading turnover on the bourse on Wednesday. Its shares rose 4.39% to 107 euro in a turnover of 713,770 euro ($777,868).

Nova Ljubljanska Banka [LJE:NLBR] was another major winner, with shares advancing 3.06% to 67.40 euro.

Total daily regulated market turnover increased to 5.7 million euro on Wednesday from 1.1 million euro generated on Tuesday.
