St Tropez-maker PZ Cussons posts 7.8% rise in half-year profit

PZ Cussons Plc PZC said on Wednesday its half-year profit rose 7.8%, as price hikes helped the soap maker offset the impact of rising input costs.

The Manchester-based company, which also makes self-tanning products, said its adjusted pre-tax profit rose to 34.5 million pounds ($41.5 million) in the six months ended Dec. 3 from 32 million pounds a year earlier.
