Changes to India's repo rate since June 2000
The Reserve Bank of India held its key repo rate steady for a third straight policy meeting on Thursday, as widely expected, as inflation concerns resurfaced following higher-than-usual seasonal spikes in food prices in recent weeks.
The monetary policy committee kept the key lending rate, or repo rate, (INREPO=ECI) unchanged at 6.50%.
The standing deposit facility rate and the marginal standing facility rate also remained unchanged.
