German authority assumes quick fix to Rehden gas storage outage

Operations at Germany's Rehden gas storage facility will likely restart on Friday after feed-in was stopped on Tuesday after an incident, a spokesperson for the Lower Saxony mining authority LBEG said on Wednesday.

There were no reasons to lead to the conclusion that sabotage was at play, the spokesperson added.

The remarks were in response to an enquiry following reports that there had been a small blast at a flare stack at an overground converter station at Rehden, Germany's biggest storage cavern.
