Aker Carbon Capture announces Chief Financial Officer Julie Berg to step down

Aker Carbon Capture ASA today announces that Julie Berg has decided to stepdownfrom her role as Chief Financial Officer to take on the position as ChiefFinancial Officer of Mainstream Renewable Power.

"Julie has played an integral role in the process of developing an agreementtoform a joint venture between Aker Carbon Capture and SLB, as announced inMarch.We are truly grateful for her contribution, and we're appreciative that theAkergroup will continue to benefit from her leadership skills and expertise as CFOof Mainstream," said Egil Fagerland, Chief Executive Officer of Aker CarbonCapture ASA.

The transaction, by which Aker Carbon Capture ASA and SLB will combine theirrespective carbon capture businesses in Aker Carbon Capture Holding AS, isexpected to close by end of the second quarter, 2024. Aker Carbon Capture'sboard of directors is assessing the management resources needed to manage AkerCarbon Capture ASA after closing of the transaction.

Berg will leave Aker Carbon Capture ASA within the second quarter of 2024. TheCompany's Head of Group Controlling Petter Natås will serve as interim CFOuponBerg's departure.
