Panama issues $3.1 bln in global bonds

Panama has successfully issued a total of $3.1 billion across three global bonds at a weighted average coupon rate of 7.79%, the Central American nation's economy ministry said on Thursday.

The offer was oversubscribed by more than six times, the ministry said in a statement, with interest coming primarily from the U.S. and Europe.
