Restaurant operator Alsea posts 34% drop in first quarter profit

Mexican restaurant chain operator Alsea ALSEA reported on Tuesday a 34% fall in its first-quarter net profit, reaching 404.1 million pesos for the first three months of the year.

Alsea, which operates chains including Starbucks SBUX, Burger King QSR and Domino's Pizza DPZ, also reported a 3% rise in quarterly revenue compared to the same period last year to total 18.2 billion pesos.
