Poland Industrial Output at 11-Month Low

Poland's industrial production fell by 6% year-on-year in March 2024, reversing a 15-month high of 3.3% increase in the previous month and coming worse than market forecasts of a 1% decline.

This marked the lowest reading since April 2023, as output decreased further for mining & quarrying (-13.1% vs -2.3% in February), while production tumbled for manufacturing (-6.3% vs 3.8%).

Moreover, output slowed down for water supply & sewerage waste management (6.2% vs 9.8%).

Conversely, output rebounded for electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning (0.1% vs -4.2%).

On a monthly basis, industrial output advanced 3.6% in March, following a 0.7% gain in the prior month.
