Hang Seng Jumps to Over 5-Month Top to Begin the Week

The stock market in Hong Kong jumped 286 points or 1.6% to 17,936 in morning deals on Monday, rising for the sixth straight session while reaching its highest level in over five months amid an extended rally in most sectors.

Meanwhile, US futures surged after Wall Street hit its best week in several months Friday after an inflation reading in the US eased worries of a more hawkish Fed ahead of the FOMC meeting later this week.
