DIC Corp. engages in the manufacture and sale of printing inks, organic pigments, and synthetic resins. It operates through the following segments: Packaging and Graphic, Color and Display, Functional Products, and Others. The Packaging and Graphic segment sells gravure, flexographic, security, offset and news inks, packaging adhesives, polystyrene, and coextruded multilayer films. The Color and Display segment includes products such as organic pigments, health food, natural colorants, and thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display (TFT LCD). The Functional Products segment offers water-based, acrylic, epoxy, polyester and phenolic resins, Sulphur chemicals, magnetic tapes, and molded plastic products. The Others segment handles other products not mentioned in the above segments. The company was founded on February 15, 1908 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
