It operates under the Personal Care and Performance Specialties segments. The Personal Care segment produces rheological modifiers and compounded products including active ingredients for AP deodorants and for supply to personal care manufacturers. The Performance Specialties offers rheological modifiers and additives for decorative and industrial coatings; and talc for use in plastics, coatings, technical ceramics, and paper sectors. The company was founded by Daniel Harrison, Smith Harrison, and Joseph Crosfield in 1844 and is headquartered in London, the United Kingdom.
