Ovostar Union NV is a Netherlands-based agroindustrial holding company. The Company is primarily active in Ukraine and operates within three business segments: Eggs, Egg products and Sunflower processing. It offers a range of packed shell eggs under the Yasenvit brand name and egg products under the Ovostar brand name. The Company’s egg products include egg albumen, egg powder, egg white and egg yolk, among others and are sold to companies, such as Nestle, Kraft Foods and McDonald’s, among others. The Company’s production facilities include a breeder farm, a hatchery producing one-day pullets and two young laying hens sites supplying the Company’s two laying hen farms. Additionally, the Company produces sunflower oil, feed, sunflower meal and fuel briquettes. The Company’s products are exported to such countries, as Azerbaijan, Armenia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and the African countries. As of December 31, 2011, it had seven subsidiaries, out of which two were wholly owned.
