Kinden Corp. engages in the business of construction works. It operates through the following business divisions: Electricity, Instrumentation, Information and Communications, Air Conditioning, Interior Systems, Civil Engineering, Overseas Projects, Energy Conservation and Renewal, and New Energy. The Electricity division deals with the construction and maintenance of electrical systems of office buildings, production plants, and commercial and public facilities. The Instrumentation division offers total production system support with comprehensive engineering capabilities, from meter and valve design to power, control panels, and monitoring systems. The Information and Communications division provides solutions to office buildings, factories, medical and educational facilities, and mobile communication base stations. The Air Conditioning division offers environment management technologies including air conditioning, water supply and drainage, ice-based thermal storage air conditioning, and district heating systems. The Interior Systems division includes flooring systems, anti-seismic braces, and metal ceiling systems. The Civil Engineering division handles surveying studies, civil engineering architectural structures, road paving, equipment installation, landscaping, and water supply facilities. The Overseas Projects division manages overseas construction. The Energy Conservation and Renewal division provides integrated services from energy conservation, evaluation and diagnosis; equipment evaluation, diagnosis, and trouble investigation; and improvement proposals, design, implementation, and inspection. The New Energy division constructs environment friendly power generation systems including wind and solar power generation equipment, fuel cell batteries, and energy conservation facilities. The company was founded on August 26, 1944 and is headquartered in Osaka, Japan.
