Sato Corp. engages in the manufacture and sale of mechatronic and supply products, and provision of software and maintenance services. It operates through the following business segments: Auto-ID Solutions (Japan), Auto-ID Solutions (Overseas), and IDP. The Auto-ID Solutions (Japan) includes manufacture and sales of mechatronic products and supply products; planning and proposal of solutions in the medical field; and manufacture and sale of industrial rubber products, synthetic resins, RFID tags and labels. The Auto-ID Solutions (Overseas) segment handles the supply product manufacturing and sales; business process reform consulting, planning and construction of information systems; product package comprehensive production service; development and manufacture of RFID tags and labels; and manufacture and sales of supply products, sales of mechatronic products. The IDP segment covers the development and sales of inline digital printing products and technical support. The company was founded by Yo Sato in 1940 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
