The fund obtains its exposure by investing in a mutual fund with the same name. The underlying is a diversified portfolio stocks of US-based mid-cap companies. The portfolio targets companies with market capitalization between US $2 billion and US $12 billion and may pay dividends. The portfolio may include up to 10% exposure in foreign securities outside of the US as well. Individual stocks are selected based on a bottom-up investment approach that considers fundamental research for growth and value potential. A companys free cash flow, price to earnings, improving balance sheet and low debt are just a few of the factors considered. The portfolio managers have the flexibility to invest a significant amount of assets in foreign securities as well. Derivatives may also be used to hedge, gain exposure, or generate additional income.
