The fund aims to provide long-term capital growth by actively managing a portfolio of US stocks believed to have lower volatility. Such stocks are selected by the portfolio adviser using historical standard deviation as a tool to look at individual stocks and the correlation between them, hoping to reduce volatility. As such, the fund looks to overweight stocks that are expected to deliver less volatile returns, and underweight more volatile, with the goal of optimizing exposure. The fund, however, may not fully benefit from bullish equity market as a result of this strategy.
