Commitments of Traders reports on TradingView

Jan 25, 2022

It’s always been one of our priorities to keep providing our users with more and more new data. So today we’re excited to announce another addition to the TradingView data feed — this time we’ve added a whole Pine Library with Commitments of Traders data.

Commitments of Traders (COT) — is data tallied by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). It’s published weekly and demonstrates aggregate holdings of the U.S. futures market participants. The CFTC oversees derivative markets traded on different exchanges, so COT data is available for assets that can be traded on CBOT, CME, NYMEX, COMEX, and ICEUS.

There are three types of reports available on TradingView: Legacy, Disaggregated, and Financial. Along with the detailed instruction on how to access the data through Pine, the library will also provide you with four useful indicators, which will definitely come in handy in your analysis:

You can also open the search bar and type prefixes “COT:”, “COT2:”, “COT3:”, they will give you access to Legacy Commitments of Traders report, Disaggregated Commitments of Traders report, and Traders in Financial Futures report data accordingly.

We hope the newly-added data will prove useful to your futures analysis. Do send us your feedback — it helps us make TradingView better.
