I love IB. I have been a client for over 15 years. But their integration with TradingView needs some serious work. The biggest issue here is connectivity. I sometimes have to wait up to 30 seconds to complete a login, which is not a deal breaker. But very very often, I click to trade and nothing happens. I see the message "Uncaught (in promise) Action trade not received" on the JavaScript console frequently, meaning that IB cannot respond in time for TradingView to properly display their UI. I suspect the issue is insufficient resources allocated to support TradingView connections. This is a real problem that IB must address. Once they improve the connectivity and reliability, I will be very happy.

Today I got thrown out mid session and wasn't able to log back in for over 40 minutes.. happened during the last hour before the bell of course.. I tried (and failed) to get back in countless times.. And the fact that the IBKR login screen doesn't save any credentials (the option top left corner is ignored no matter what) made it extra hard to reconnect again. For every try I had to manually go through the whole login process over and over again, dozens of times.. half the time the back end didn't even send out the required SMS.. error messages ranged from "the connection was interrupted due to errors" over "connecting websocket timeout reached" to "Failed to restore session..." accusing me of having opened multiple session (I didn't, double and triple checked that). Besides why do they require this anyway? I mean.. that's basically a single point of failure by design/choice... Seriously? And to round my horrible first day with TV+IBKR up: the very minute the market closed I was able to log back in and was greeted with this "Rate Interactive Brokers" popup... well, here you go. @IBKR .. oh come on.. responding automatically to 1 star reviews by just copy/pasting the same web ticket request over and over again? You are either a bot, or you can't be bothered to actually read and respond to reviews. Very disappointing..
We are asking clients to create web tickets for reported issues so that we may obtain their account info and document any potential bugs. We will never ask clients for their account number or contact info over a public forum. Getting in direct contact with us via a web ticket is the best way to have your issue resolved. Overall it is ok when it works properly. A bug: Very often that when I connect to IB, the positions cannot be shown. There are zero entries for the position. I need to re connect for a fews time (2-4 times) to make it back to normal. Plz fix it. Tks.

UK reviewer here. IBKR is an excellent broker. The only downside is that the user interface is confusing to learn at first but with use, you realise that whilst it looks complicated, everything has a purpose and its actually quite good.

TradingView integration doesn't work very well. Orders get created in IBRKR and do not get shown in trading view!

the whole point of my opening an account with IB was for executing trades through tradingview, but it doesn't work. I sent a market bracket order through tradingview and it never appeared in my open positions, even though the position did in fact exist when I logged in to IB's portal to see what happened. I had to log out of tradingview, log in to IB and close my position through their portal. I was very excited to see that they were linked to tradingview but the connection just doesn't work reliably.

Update= I already raised tickit and disucssed with your team, L2 indicated connection issues with IBKR... however a simple feature of Take profit and SL next to position tab on chart is missing... it appears when shorting but not when Long. this can be checked and corrected if possible... Thanks
We value your business, and we're grateful you took the time to contact us about this. As of March 2, 2023, TradingView now offers Level 2 data. When initiating a new position, you can attach a stop loss and profit order within the initial order. But if that initial order has already executed then there is a limitation with TradingView that they currently addressing.
