Overpriced and About to go into massive spending mode

NASDAQ:FB   FACEBOOK INC
46 6 0
Last week FB             CEO             came out and talked about FB's earnings and revenue, which both came in solid, although slowling substantially. FB             is Overpriced by most standards, trading at aorund 70 P/E and 30 forward P/e .

TEchnically FAcebook             as been following this rising lower trendinline, but has failed ot make a new high. The volume ahs also been on a declining pattern with a sudden pop now that earnings are out. FB             also hasn't really had a good decline after popping and running for over 15 months in 2013 (15 months is usually where I see momentum names start to falter a bit.) .

Sooner or later facebook             will need to get out of this base. But with earnings decelerating and expenses expanding, combind with the apparent technicals, fb             is in for one mean correction.

Have you noticed that the earnings on TradingView are not correct?

TB is weird sometimes with earnings, they will show operating profits, or non gaap. I believe FB missed earnings estimate by 1 cent or so. Zuckerburg said they are trying to attract long term investors, which pretty much means facebook is going to go into capital spending mode, as Zuckerburg ramps up spending. I think FB ads are at a saturation point unless something big like China or India really blow up with facebook. Regardless technicals looking weak and FB hasn't had a solid retrace in a while.

I accept your long timeframe argument for FB wasting a ton of capital. However, my real concern was that the earnings were apparently reported wrongly on the last FB announcement. TradingView is disagreeing with everyone else. I guess I should report it.

Yeah my bad typed TB instead of Tv (tradingview). Anyways, sometimes trading view appears to report operating profits or non-gaap earnings instead of GAAP earnings. regardless always double check all earnings mentioned on TV.

Good luck.
