SHOULD YOU COMPLETELY IGNORE NEWS/FUNDAMENTALS?
You do not need to know everything about Fundamentals and/or Technicals but you should also not be ignorant to the fact that both are the driving force in their own right in the market place.
One cannot ignore news events or announcements that surprise markets….It is not the NEWS that moves the markets….It is the interpretation of the news that moves the markets…The charts are just the interpretation of people jotted down on screen.
If we seize to have any news, we would have a stagnant market as the players would not have anything to interpret. I am a technical traded at heart but it is ignorant to completely ignore news events and fundamentals all together.
Trends are not produced by themselves out of thin air. It is the underlying fundamental shift or policy that sets the overall trend in motion, whether it reacts the way you anticipated with the news or not. And it is within that trend that many other minor trends can be produced and spotted and wave theory and other technical strategies can be very powerful.
You need fuel to set the train in motion and in the market:
Fundamentals/News = Fuel
Technical theories = Train
YOU NEED BOTH TO SET IT ALL IN MOTION
