I like when the left shoulder breaks the trendline, but that's just my personal favorite. Also, I like to use volume too and look for high volume in the left shoulder, lower volume in the head, and then less volume in the right shoulder to show exhausted buyers and a wall of sellers building up.
That's interesting, I've never heard of that idea of left shoulder breaking trend line. Yes, I agree the vol pattern traditionally should he higher in the left shoulder. So far, however, this is confirmed nonetheless.
I've noticed one in a while I get comments that are either full on lacking thoughtfulness ("It's going up/down!") without any chart theory behind it or sometimes plain ol' hostility. It's odd :) But I love the exchange of real ideas and charts!
